The Pride of Paoli is once again working on their 2025 show. The theme of the show this year is “The Tie That Binds,” which explores the use of ties and connections as a means to express unity between the musicians and the music.
Senior Cannon Lambdin and sophomore Vannessa Thacker are leading the band again this season as drum majors.

The show features ropes and numerous items that connect the performers. There are two songs in the show; one is called “Blest Be The Tie That Binds,” an old hymn by John Fawcett about how God uses love to bind and unite people together. The other one is an original composition by Don Barrett. The show is divided into four movements, which are like four different songs that are played. Part one is called Fellowship, part two is called Our Hopes Are One, part three is Kindred Minds, and part four is To Meet Again.
Band Director Christian Karkosky has high hopes for the band this season.
“Things are going well. We are learning a lot every day and progressing as a group,” said Karkosky.
The uniforms for this upcoming season are purple with a blue strip on them. The color guard will be wearing hot pink uniforms. The band will have its first competition at Westfield High School on September 6. They will also host the annual Pride of Paoli Invitational on September 13, where the band will not compete, but will perform its show in an exhibition at Cook Field.
