Like most school administrators, Assistant Principal Adam Stroud strives for change and improvement in Paoli High School. This goal is higher on Stroud’s list than it has been since he was announced as the next principal. Stroud will take over in January, after the current principal, Ed Wagner, completes his transition to superintendent.

One way he plans to better PHS is by speaking to homerooms individually and collecting both positive and negative feedback from students on what needs to be changed or improved at PHS.
“I want to speak to the students and get feedback from them on things that we can do to make PHS better,” said Stroud. “I want to be able to get feedback from our students because there are some things that people have better ideas for than I do, and if the students have better ideas, then we can implement them. I want to make this the best place and a place that students and teachers want to be.”
Stroud already had a few questions in mind that he would ask students during these meetings.
“I’m just going to ask them things like what they like about PHS? What are the things they would like to see adjusted? What are some new programs they would like to see in the future? With a lot of changes in graduation, we are going to have a lot of different opportunities coming up,” said Stroud.
Stroud hopes to speak to each homeroom not only once, but twice this year.
“My goal is to make it to every homeroom throughout the year, so this is gonna be kind of a year-long process. There are 25 homerooms, and I look to make it to all of them at least once, but hopefully twice. I’d like to make it to all of them once first semester, once second semester,” said Stroud.
Students should watch for Stroud to start visiting homerooms soon.
