At the start of the 2025-2026 school year, the administration introduced a new reward system called the Class Cup. Each grade level will have the opportunity to compete throughout the year by participating in various activities to win the class cup. This reward system is designed to provide some fun and friendly competition, getting students excited about school.
The idea came to mind at a conference a couple of years ago, when one of the speakers presented the idea of the class cup, and its success caught the attention of Assistant Principal Adam Stroud. For each class to earn points, there will be different challenges throughout the year, like attendance, dress-up days, cheer block attendance, food drives, and determining which class has the most school spirit.
“This is the first year, and I hope that it sparks an interest in students. The goal is to get kids to buy into their academics, attendance, school spirit, and to give back to our community. Through the process of doing this, I’m hoping that we’ll build an atmosphere and a culture that will support these things being instilled into all students and something they’re gonna wanna continue to do throughout their life, not just in high school,” said Stroud.
So far, classes have earned points for the August Attendance War and the Amazing Race; more event opportunities for classes will be added as the year progresses.
