The Junior Class recently held elections to select students who would lead the class and also prepare the school for prom.
This year’s officers are President Cheyanne Hopper, Vice President Kina Arsenault, Secretary Ada McSpadden, and Treasurer Addie Peyton. Juniors were asked to nominate students, and then a vote was held to select the panel.
The responsibilities of the junior class officers include determining what the theme is for prom. This includes catering, making and signing invitations, selecting the crowns for the court, purchasing decor, and assisting with setup on the day of prom. The students will also help with Mr. PHS night by collecting money and assisting with tallying votes.
“I ran for president because I wanted to improve the role by encouraging other juniors to be more involved in our school,” said Hopper.
Junior Class sponsors Art teacher Chris Jones and PE teacher Summer Hudelson will work with the students to help them raise money and plan for prom.
