Librarian Rachel Miller is hosting a “mini mural” art competition during September in the library. Students and staff have been asked to draw a design on a sticky note and give their design to Miller. The artwork is displayed in the library, and judging will occur at the end of the month. All artwork should be created on a single sticky note, and students may submit more than one piece. Students are allowed to use their own sticky notes, and Miller is also offering some in the library. Miller is doing this because she wants students and staff to form a community in the library.
“I am always looking for fun and interesting things to bring people into the library. A fellow librarian shared the mini mural idea, and I thought it would be a great addition to our line-up because we have so many amazing student artists in the building,” said Miller.
This is a way to increase the number of students and staff who come to the library so that others can learn more about it.
