Two Selected to Lead the Crowd

On September 4, Booster Club sponsor Alexia Speer hosted the annual Rocky Ram tryouts, which took place in the lower gym during homeroom.
This year, four students were interested in trying out for Rocky and were judged by former Booster Club sponsor and Art teacher Chris Jones.

Students trying out for Rocky had to show off their best spirit while following along with chants led by senior cheerleaders Tori Patton, Ava Hall, and Audrey Hall. Speer wanted somebody willing to step out of their comfort zone and help cheer on the Rams with the students.

“I want somebody willing to have fun and interact with the students and fans,” said Speer.

Returning this year in the role of Rocky Ram will be junior Piper Frank. Frank has now been Rocky for two years.

Senior Amber Pennington (Genesis Gulasa)

“I was Rocky last year, and I had so much fun. It was a new thing for me to do and a new high-school experience!” said Frank.

Joining Frank this year will be senior Amber Pennington.

“I wanted to spend my senior year getting out there and doing things I would have never done as a freshman. I loved Rocky as a kid, I love supporting all kinds of sports, and being Rocky allows me to cheer and support my school,” said Pennington.

Rocky can be seen cheering with the Rams at football games, on Friday night, and at upcoming pep sessions.

Chloe Flannery is a freshman at Paoli Jr. Sr. High School and participates in cheerleading. Outside of school, she likes spending time with her friends and family. In her free time, Chloe enjoys watching TikTok, shopping, eating out, listening to music, and taking long naps. She has two dogs named Jule and Rusty, and a cat named Sammy. She loves animals, and in the future, Chloe plans to graduate from high school and start a career as a veterinary technician.

Genesis Gulasa

Sophomore Genesis Gulasa is a first-year photographer in the PHS media department. She is a varsity cheerleader. Genesis enjoys playing with her dog and hanging out with family. Genesis has 5 siblings and one dog named Zara. She has 3 brothers named Cooper, Ace, and Titus. She also has 2 sisters named Aria and Amelia. Her favorite color is pink, and her favorite drink of all time is Dr. Pepper. Some things that Genesis doesn’t like are disrespectful people, Brussels sprouts, and beans.

Kylie Flannery, Yearbook Editor-In-Chief

Kylie Flannery is a Senior at PHS, known for her active involvement in school activities. She serves as one of the Yearbook Editor-In-Chiefs of the Hillcrest and is the president of the service club group, Tri-Hi-Y. Flannery has also been doing photography since her freshman year and helps volunteer for the Essentials project during school. She looks forward to starting her dental assisting classes later this school year. Outside of school, Flannery enjoys spending time with friends, family, and going shopping.
