PHS is once again allowing juniors and seniors to paint parking spots for the current school year. Proceeds from the sales will go to the senior class.
The school has numerous requirements for a junior or senior to be able to paint their parking spot.
The cost to paint spots is $25, and designs must be submitted and approved by the administration before being painted. Permission slips are available from senior class sponsors Melissa Higgins and Heather Nichols and must be completed before painting can begin. Students must also have purchased a parking permit to paint their spot.
Students will be required to follow rules and regulations regarding what can be designed on their parking spots. The administration will review all designs, and any questionable designs will be discussed. Any variation of the approved design may require students to paint over the design with black paint; no refunds will be given. All designs must stay within the white lines of the parking spots. Students must use only water-based latex paint.
Designs must not include offensive language, pictures, or symbols, negative or rude language, “gang-style tagging,” or content with double entendres.
“We wanted to do this fundraiser for the senior class because I hoped it would get a lot of seniors and juniors involved, by letting them have fun and expressing themselves in their painting. This also really helps the senior class because it helps to cover some of the expenses that we will have in the future,” said Senior Class Vice President Tori Patton.
Students interested in painting their spot must submit forms by October 8.
