The Paoli High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes, also known as the FCA, will hold its annual “Fields of Faith” event on October 1, at 5:30 p.m. This will be the group’s third time hosting the event, and it will take place in Cook Field. It will be open to the public; everyone from the community is welcome to attend.
The theme of this night will be “Get in the Game and Get into the Book!”
The purpose of this event is to bring everyone together to build strength and connections through worship, praise, and testimonies. This event will have yard games and food, followed by prayer and testimonies from both students and a guest speaker. The event will also feature students sharing their faith, challenging their peers to read and learn about the Bible, and praying for the community. The guest speaker will be Darrell Land, the senior minister of Redemption Christian Church in Jasper.
The gates open at 5:30 p.m. for food, fellowship, and fun activities. Then, at 7 p.m., music will be played, and attendees will have the opportunity to come up and speak. This event will conclude at 8 p.m., with everyone gathering in the middle of the football field for a challenge that requires each person to take a stand for our faith.
“At our first two Fields of Faith, we have had over 250 in attendance. It has become one of the highlights of the year for our FCA members,” said FCA club sponsor Chris Lindley.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of who you are or if you are in FCA or not. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Lindley or club president Cannon Lambdin.
