As the Rams’ fall seasons draw to a close, the teams have had varied results for their seasons.
As of now, the Boys Varsity Tennis team is having its most successful season, sitting with a record of 16-1 after their most recent match against Evansville Christian. No. 1 singles player senior Kirk Hughes has been leading this team, sitting with a record of 14-2. The Rams tennis team is looking strong heading into Sectional, where they will face off against the Barr-Reeve Vikings at Loogotee High School on Wednesday, October 1, at 5 p.m.
This season, the football team is being led by its 13 seniors, but it has had a rocky start. They lost two of their first three games, including the Orange Bowl against their county rival, Springs Valley. The team bounced back with their next two games against conference opponents Perry Central and West Washington, scoring over 40 points against both teams, bringing their record to 3-2 and on pace to finish second place in the PLAC. The Rams hosted Eastern Greene on Friday, September 26, and defeated them 63-20, bringing their season record to 4-2.
The Lady Rams volleyball team is led by its five seniors, but this season has not gone as well as they hoped for. As of September 29, the Lady Rams team has a record of 5-19 and is sitting in last place in the PLAC. The teams are hoping for a good sectional draw from the Sectional pairing on October 5 at 7 p.m.
The cross country team has three runners, including senior Billy Apple, sophomore Cooper Lane, and sophomore Alba Miranda Irusta. The runners will all be competing in Sectional at Crawford County on October 18 at 10:30 a.m.
