Ram fans may notice a few new art pieces on display at Rams sporting events. This year, Art Teacher Chris Jones and students in the art department have been working to revive old signs and create new ones to be displayed throughout the campus.
“I felt like we needed something to better represent our school,” said Jones.
This all started when Jones, his wife Kate, and his students took a look around at what could be changed and received requests from people around the campus. Seniors Madi Collier, Maddie Vernon, Abby Poe, Charli Chastain, Ava Hall, and Audrey Hall were all contributing members of the project.

“I had so much fun and it only took like three days,” said Collier.
So far, the students have created a sign under the scoreboard, replacing the old one that read “Proudly sponsored by Paoli Furniture.” They have also created a Rambling Herd sign for the cheer block at Cook Field and a sign resembling a tennis ball on the tennis court.
Depending on the sign and size, the process took anywhere from a couple of days to a week to complete.
“I think all of our signs turned out really, really good, and I look forward to doing more campus improvements,” said Jones.
The projects will serve to showcase our local talent and support the Rams.
“I hope kids appreciate the work the art department puts in for them to make their campus a more pleasant and more welcoming environment,” said Jones.
There are currently no plans to create more signs, but if anyone has suggestions, they should contact Jones or any of the seniors who worked on the project.
