Some people have amazing art ideas but no desire or skills to bring them to fruition. When you have the skills, time, and desire, it’s beneficial to turn them into a business.

Art teacher Chris Jones runs a personal business offering crafts for cash. He has been doing this for about 20 years, and he has completed many projects, all of which have been beautiful masterpieces.
During the summer, Jones will take requests; depending on what it is and whether he has time, he will do them for some cash. It started some years ago when he started taking requests from friends. This then turned into his now local business.
“Artists should always charge for their work. You’re doing work for someone, and that takes time, effort, and talent,” said Jones. Jones always makes sure to price his valuable work.

His prices range from a few hundred to a couple of thousand dollars; it all depends on the project.
“I have a couple of sign projects in the works. One is for a local business and one is for a friend,” said Jones.
Jones does not take on all projects for his business; instead, he sends the work to his students so they, too, can experience working for a customer as an artist.

“They like the idea that their work is out there for others to see what they’re capable of. It definitely gives them a sense of pride and accomplishment,” said Jones.
Jones also likes to keep one or two personal projects going.
“I’ve always loved drawing, painting, and crafting. If you find a way to make money doing something you love, I say do it!” said Jones.
So if you ever have a huge artistic idea that you can not do, then contact Jones for information. For the right price and project, Jones will be your guy!
