Hello followers, I have another interesting topic to talk about today.
So, I overheard some little kids yesterday talking about their imaginary friends.
(Before I go on I would like for you to know that I am not a creeper. I just was helping my sister with some things down in Throop.)
I slowed down so I could hear more, because I was in no hurry to get where I was going. I heard them talk about how one of their imaginary friends was 10 years old. He was six foot tall and he had a pet dinosaur.
The first thought was why I didn’t have an imaginary friend.
So I went back through my life and thought about all of the times I could have used an imaginary friend.
The time wanted to go outside, but had no one to play with.
The time that I couldn’t swing and no one could push me.
It was in this moment that I decided right now was a fine time to have an imaginary friend.
My imaginary friend’s name would be Linsanity. He would be 6’ 4”, could dunk, and be able to throw 100 miles per hour. He is slightly tan always has basketball shorts and a cut off T-shirt on. His shoes are adidas adiZero Rose 2 basketball shoes. They are the traditional black shoes. They have red shoelaces, they are high top, and they have built in red ankle braces.
He also has some super abilities. He has the ability to jump high. He also can transform into a number of different things. He can transform into a Dinosaur when needed and also be able to turn into a Ferrari. He lives on a distant planet made of Kryptonite and an endless supply of chocolate. He also has an ability to transport to wherever he wants, when he needs to.
After creating my imaginary friend, I then began thinking, “Why do people do this.” So I did some research on why kids create imaginary friends.
Kids with imaginary friends develop language skills faster than other kids. They also have easier time retaining information they learn. This happens, because they carry out communication with their imaginary friend. According to CYH.com
This same research also says that small kids aren’t the only ones to create imaginary friends.
Pre-teens, teens, and even a few adults, have imaginary friends. The imaginary friends created later in life are used as a stress relief tool.
Imaginary friends are cool to an extent to think about and fulfill your imagination.
