Please mark your calendars for the dedication of the Darrell Newkirk Track on Friday, September 14, 2012. The dedication will take place at the beginning of halftime of the Paoli/West Washington football game at Paoli.
Darrell Newkirk’s four decades at Paoli High School as teacher, coach and athletic director have positively impacted thousands of student-athletes. In addition to multiple Track & Field State Finalists competing for Paoi and Coach Newkirk, over 150 Paoli Track & Field athletes have earned PLAC All-Conference honors under the direction of Coach Newkirk. Paoli has won 10 of the 33 annual PLAC Conference meets – no other coach or school has won more since Paoli joined the PLAC. Paoli Track & Field teams, with Coach Darrell Newkirk at the helm, have won 37 annual Orange County Track Meets.
In addition to showing your appreciation and support to Coach Newkirk, you are encouraged to contact former coaches, athletes or friends who may want to be present as Coach Newkirk will be honored Friday night at Darrell Newkirk Track in Paoli, Indiana.
