The Paoli Fall Festival is hosting a musical competition called Paoli Idol on Friday September 8 at 8 p.m. at the Orange County Courthouse, and if the weather is bad, at the High School Auditorium. Auditions were hosted Monday, and four finalists were picked. The finalists are Frank Nelson, Tiffany England, Frank Workman, and PHS senior Aaron Atchison.
“I decided to enter Paoli Idol for two different reasons,” said Atchison. “To get better known and for the prize money.” Atchison is planning on saving the prize money if he wins it.
Another thing about Paoli Idol is that it could help prepare someone for a career in music.
“I do plan on having a career in music, it’s not just a hobby,” said Atchison.
Atchison already got to the finale by performing a worthy song, now all he has to do to win is perform another one.
“I have no idea what I’m going to sing yet, “ he said, “I’m thinking You Don’t Know Me by Ray Charles, or something country like I Love You This Big by Scotty McCreery.”
Come see Atchison perform on Friday at 8 p.m.
