Playing guitar for senior Kirk Blevins, is a passion.
“Music to me isn’t something to listen too. It’s a passion that has always been with me, as with my family,” said Blevins.
Blevins has been playing guitar for five years and says he will never stop playing.
“When I was younger I always thought it would be cool to learn to play guitar and after learning I realized this is one thing that I will do for the rest of my life,” said Blevins.
Blevins first learned how to play guitar by playing with his uncle, then started finding other ways to play on his own. Blevins can also sing while playing guitar but he says it’s definitely not his favorite thing to do.
“I don’t call myself a singer by any means, I would rather be the one with the guitar,” said Blevins.
He is in a band that plays around town quite often.
“After high school, I plan on attending the Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio to become a recording engineer,” said Blevins.
