On April 7, 2016 at 6 p.m. the students and parents from Paoli Junior High took off for a weekend of adventure and unforgettable experience. On the once in a lifetime experience 104 seventh and eighth grade students and chaperones traveled to Washington D.C. for the third annual trip.
During this trip, all planned by social studies teacher, Amy Tuell, the students saw a variety of historical places. Locations visited included: the Washington monument, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam memorial, the United States Holocaust Museum, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Smithsonian Museums.
“My favorite part was either going to the Holocaust Museum or going to the top of the Washington Monument,” said eighth grader Avery Owens.
On Saturday the students had the opportunity to go to the top of the Washington Monument, a 555 foot monument.
“Thank you to all of my students for being awesome and well behaved. I hope each one of you has learned something on this trip, and made some great memories,” said Tuell.
