A letter from Mackenzie King regarding the second annual Jennifer Lundergan Memorial Scholarship Run
“As many of you remember, Jennifer Lundergan was a student at Paoli Community Schools from kindergarten through her senior year. Many of you were Jennifer’s teachers throughout the years and remember her as a tall, shy, and sweet girl. Jennifer was sadly killed in a car accident in August of 2014. Allison Nail and I were best friends of Jennifer and we have set up a scholarship in her name for a Paoli senior. This is the second year we are holding a 5K in her honor and to raise money for her scholarship. The scholarship will go to a deserving senior at PHS who will be majoring in any science field. Beginning tomorrow, we will have registration forms at the high school office and Throop office, along with forms in all of the teacher’s lounges at Throop. Until May 10, any high school student can race for $10 and guarantee they get a t-shirt! The race will be May 21. We had over 50 runners last year, and we would LOVE to have many more this year! We would be thrilled if you would share this information with your students.”
