It’s three weeks into the school year, and we’re back to the familiar sounds of slamming locker doors and crowded hallways, but we have something new to get used to at PHS this year: our new Superintendent, Mr. Gerald Jackson. Jackson, being a former PHS graduate himself, was eager for the job here at Paoli because he still considers this to be his school. After his graduation from PHS, he taught at Henryville, Paoli and had been West Washington’s Superintendent for 20 years before retirement back in 2015. He wanted to come back to Paoli to help build the school that he once attended, and he is liking his experience so far.
“I enjoy almost everyday, but I enjoy the people the most,” says Jackson.
