The Pride Of Paoli marching band members, staff and parents will be taking a trip to Philadelphia and New York City this Thanksgiving. The band usually takes trips roughly every four years.
This year the group will be traveling by bus to their destination and will be staying for six days. The band will be marching in “The 6abc Dunkin’ Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade” in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Then, they’ll head off to New York City. Anyone wanting to go on the trip has to pay $700. Students had fundraising opportunities to pay off the trip.
Anyone going will get the chance to explore and have free time to see some things of their choosing. They will also get the chance to go see a Broadway show. This trip gives band members and parents an opportunity to see different places in the world. Overall, the trip will have many opportunities for the students and could influence their future, due to what they will experience and explore outside of Indiana.
