The Pride of Paoli will be competing in the ISSMA State Finals Saturday at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
“On October 14, we attended the Regional Contest in Evansville. By placing in the top 10, we qualified for Semi-State. Two weeks later, in Franklin, IN, we competed at Semi-State. By placing in the top ten there, we qualified for the 2017 State Championships that will be this coming Saturday,” said Band Director Bill Laughlin.
Pride of Paoli is in Class D, and will be performing between 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Paoli is the ninth band to perform and will take the field at 11:55 a.m. After the final band finishes, all 10 bands will line up on the field for the awards presentation.
Bands that are participating this Saturday include, Monrovia, Forest Park, Southridge, Tell City, South Spencer, Springs Valley, Whitko, Evansville Mater Dei, Paoli and Kokomo. So head up to Indianapolis this Saturday and support the Pride of Paoli as they compete at State.
