What is the groups scholarship?
The Groups Scholars Program was created in 1968 as a way to increase college attendance among first-generation, underrepresented students. The Groups Scholars Program provides academic, financial, and social support to help students attain a bachelor’s degree at the Bloomington campus.
What makes you eligible?
What makes me eligible is the fact that I live in a poor county in Indiana which goes underrepresented in college campuses.
What do you have to do in order to receive the scholarship?
In order to receive this scholarship I must live in an underrepresented area of Indiana, and once accepted I must also attend a an over the summer class starting on June 12th called SEP (Summer Experience Program).
What are your plans for college?
My plans for college is to study Early Elementary Education, but also keep plenty of time to myself for friends and family.
How much of your college does the scholarship cover?
This scholarship doesn’t have a set number value, which is liable to change with the information provided by the FASFA.
