Costume Contest Coming Monday
JAG to sponsor and judge contestants
On Monday, October 31, JAG will be sponsoring its second annual Halloween costume contest for students and staff.
The entry fee is $1 per person. Entry fees must be paid before school in either the JAG room or at the booth that will be set up in front of the cafeteria. No late entries after the first period begins will be accepted for judging.
Money raised through this fundraiser will go toward future service learning projects and classroom supplies.
All costumes are required to be school appropriate and must follow the school dress code. No masks, bandanas, face paint or props are allowed to be worn. Costumes should not cover your face or be overly distracting to other students.
The four categories that costumes will be judged for include funniest, most original, best couple or duo, and best overall. The JAG Leadership team will be observing costumes throughout the day Monday to determine the winners.
“We hope to see a lot of students and staff participating in this fun event. You’re never too old to dress up for Halloween! It’s the one day of the year you can be whatever you have always dreamt of being!” said JAG coordinator Katie Cook.
Winners will receive a prize that includes candy and a spooky Halloween trophy.
