On November 15, Athletic Director Darek Newkirk sent out a notice of vacancy for Varsity Volleyball, Boys Golf and Boys Track Head Coaches.

The Varsity Volleyball Coach position is to be filled for the 2023- 2024 season, but the Boys Golf and Track Coaching positions are needed for the upcoming spring season.

On Monday, December 12 at the School Board meeting, Tennis Coach Matt Wolfe was hired on as Head Varsity Boys Golf Coach.

“I want to start building a new foundation for the program this year and start to implement my own techniques and strategies with the team,” said Wolfe. “We lost most of the team from last year, so we are going to focus on rebuilding from the ground up and getting as many new golfers on the course as possible.”

Each coaching position varies in terms of sport-based duties and specific athlete training, but they all share some other significant responsibilities.

Coaches are required to be responsible for all aspects of the high school and junior high programs. Moreover, they need to be visible both in the school community and the Paoli community overall in order to support all academic, co-curricular and extracurricular programs.

Applicants were required to apply on the Paoli Community Schools website. The deadline for the applications was December 9.

The other two positions remain open, though the school hopes to have the positions filled as soon as possible.
