Mr. PHS had its thirteenth annual show on March 11.This year, nine seniors went on stage to earn the title of “Mr. PHS.”
Each contestant was sponsored by a club, sport, or organization at the school. Peyton Baker was sponsored by PHS Football, his coordinator was Chloe Smith; Hayden Bostock was sponsored by JAG, his coordinator was Brianna Perry; Coy Busick was sponsored by PHS Cheer, his coordinator was Taylor Patton; Fletcher Cole was sponsored by PHS Basketball, his coordinator was Jae Walker; Brian Fullington was sponsored by the Paolite, his coordinator was Lilly Hall; Carson Neal was sponsored by National Honors Society, his coordinator was Keeley Scott; Jaxson Reynolds was sponsored by PHS Track, his coordinator was Jericho Hopper; Jonny Shellenberger was sponsored by PHS Booster Club, his coordinator was Jerzie Crane; Josh Zapien for PHS Media, his coordinator was Mary Cook.
Fort the talent section of the contest performances involved included Peyton Baker eating Big Macs, Hayden Bostock playing guitar and singing, Coy Busick and Brian Fullington putting on the most t-shirts, Fletcher Cole and Jaxson Reynold’s hot wing eating contest, Carson Neal playing the guitar and singing, Jonny Shellenberger doing magic tricks, and Josh Zapien dancing.
The end result of this event was Fletcher Cole being crowned the Twelfth Mr. PHS, with him and his coordinator Jae Walker earning a cash prize of $200 and Hayden Bostock winning the People’s Choice Award.
“My talent was eating extremely hot wings with Jaxson Reynolds. My strategy to win was to be the best I could be. When I won, it felt great to be in the same category as the first Mr. PHS, Aaron Key,” said Cole.

Freshman Moise Hall enjoys many school activities including, football, wrestling, and track. Hall also enjoys playing basketball outside with his brother. Hall’s plans after high school is to go to Notre Dame and become a high school teacher. A restaurant Hall thinks other people should try is China Wok because it is the greatest local restaurant around. After a long day Hall likes to watch TV and the best advice he has ever got was just to always put in the effort.
