The Rams Varsity Cross Country team will take their first sprints of the season at Orleans tonight, starting at 6 p.m.

Head Coach Summer Hudelson reflected on last year’s successes.

“Hannah Albertson made All-Conference, Hannah and Cailyn Baechle advanced to the Regional,” said Hudelson.

The roster for this year’s team includes: seniors Cailyn Baechle, Braven Cook, Jacob Workman, juniors Savannah Key, Luke Oldham, Kaleb Ruth, TyLynn Taylor, sophomores Jae Walker, Andrew Carpenter, and freshman Jacoby Piper.

Baechle has hopes for the season ahead.

“My hopes for this season as a team and for myself is to have the best year yet in team wins overall. My personal goal is to at least get to the semi-finals. This will take a lot of dedication from all,” said Baechle.

Hudelson believes success in cross country can come for any participant.

“Anyone can have success in cross country. If the runners come to practice willing to put in effort and extra time running/training, they will have success,” said Hudelson.

Hudelson gives us a view of her hopes for this season.

“I hope we can compete in all of the meets, have some runners make All-Conference and advance to the Regional,” said Hudelson.
