On Tuesday, November 28 the Junior Varsity Girls Basketball team traveled to Orleans to face the Bulldogs. The team won with a score of 45-17.

Junior Varsity Head Coach Jeremy Payton gives his input on the game.

“Overall we played well.  The girls are starting to understand the things we are looking for and how to attack on offense.”

Leading scorers for the Lady Rams were Lilly Hall with 14 points, Tariana Burkhead with 8 points and both Anna Radcliff and Jericho Hopper had 7 points.

Payton praises two athletes, who played a good game.

“Lilly Hall lead us again with 14 and is been doing a great job with focusing on the things she needed to improve on. Tariana Burkhead played well and is continuing to gain more confidence in herself. She had 8 points,” said Payton.

Payton shares how proud he is of the team.

“I am proud with how hard we are playing and playing together as a team. That is the most rewarding part for me,” said Payton.

Varsity did not play during this game. This is because Orleans’ Girls Basketball team played Loogootee, who does not have a JV team. Orleans JV did not have a game schedules yet, so our JV team played them.

The Lady Rams will play at Salem against the Lions with JV starting at 6 p.m.
