On February 2, PHS JAG traveled to French Lick Hotel to compete in the JAG Region 8 Career Development Conference (CDC).  While many students attended for competition, two earned spots at the next level.

Seniors Mckali Hedge and Beverly Sieg both earned a first place trophy in their events, qualifying both of them for the state competition. The two will leave on March 17, and travel to the Ivy Tech Indianapolis campus to display their skills.

Hedge will compete in the Critical Thinking category, and Seig will compete in the Professional Writing category. In preparation for the state contes, they have been going through different scenarios and prompts.

“I’m working really hard to be the best I can, so I can hopefully move on into the next competition,” said Hedge.

Students who win the state contest will earn a cash prize.
