While the junior class worked on the SAT, the sophomore and freshman classes left campus for a college visit day.

The trips were designed to show underclassmen some of the smaller college programs within two hours driving distance of Paoli.

The sophomores traveled west to Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana to tour the campus. While on campus, students got a view of different programs offered by the university and ate lunch on campus.

“The best part of my day at Vincennes was the food and the hands-on aspect of everything,” said sophomore Cage Laws.

The freshman class traveled east towards Louisville and were separated into different groups. Each group visited two of three different colleges including Ivy Tech in Sellersburg, Indiana University Southeast in New Albany and Caris College in Jeffersonville.

“I thought it was cool to go and see what was in the schools,” said freshman Abby Poe.

As these students continue through high school, the goal is for them to take more college visits and get more experience in order to be able to make a well-rounded choice when the time comes for college decisions.
