This year’s spring production will look a little different from past years. The production “Everyone is the Mad Hatter” by Joshua Barnett and Havoc Nichols will be showing.

The production this year will be a movie instead of a play, and they don’t have a set date for making it available.

“They play starts with the idea of having multiple mad hatters, so in this production everyone is some type of mad hatter. It is kind of like ‘Alice in Wonderland’ meets the gaming generation,” said Drama Director Maria Wishart.

The play is completely student-made by seventh grader Havoc Nichols and senior Joshua Barnett. Both have been participating in drama for years before.

“During a drama meeting before ‘Life is Like a Double Cheeseburger’, our director, Mrs. Wishart, was going over possible plays. When she got to ‘Alice in Wonderland’, she said that not everyone could be the Mad Hatter. But me and Joshua (who I didn’t really know before then) thought about if everyone could be the Mad Hatter. Then, we started writing a play because of that thought,” said Nichols.

The movie will most likely be available by the end of April.
