As the seniors here at PHS only have 30 days of their high school career remaining, their graduation date is coming up fast.

The last day of in-class attendance for seniors is on Wednesday, May 17; however the class of 2023 will have graduation practice the morning of Thursday, May 18.

The class will also be traveling to Holiday World for their senior trip on Friday, May 19.

The following morning, at 10 a.m., is the annual graduation ceremony. Traditionally, the ceremony is held at 3 p.m. But this year, PHS is switching things up to get these seniors out of here as quickly as possible. Superintendent Greg Walker held a poll for all seniors back in January debating the time of graduation.

“Sixty percent of our seniors preferred the 10 a.m. graduation ceremony time,” said Senior Class Sponsor Carol Eubank.

Starting early allows the students to go through the rest of their day with friends and family at graduation events and parties.
