The ATOD survey is a questionnaire taken every year by students in grades 9 through 12. The optional survey is used to indicate the risk behaviors among teenagers in high school. Students who do not want to participate will need to complete the opt-out form and return to their first period teachers.
The ATOD survey is also used to help schools develop programs that can be used to help avoid risk behaviors among teens. The survey does not just account for PHS, it also accounts for other schools in Orange County as a whole including Springs Valley and Orleans.
A benefit from having students take the ATOD survey is that the school is given a grant to fund for a safe and fun environment for after Prom. The ATOD survey will take place on March 20.
