Freshmen orientation will take place on Monday, February 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The guidance office strongly recommends all incoming freshmen and their parents attend.
Freshmen orientation is a night for all incoming freshmen and parents to learn about what to expect for next year, which will make the transition from junior high to high school easier. The PHS guidance counselors will go over the different diplomas students can work toward and the requirements for those diplomas and explain the pathways students can take. Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to tour the career technical education classrooms. The CTE teachers will inform parents and students about their program and the individual pathway.
“This is a great time for students and parents to explore options for high school and become more familiar with graduation requirements and options,” said Guidance Counselor Rachel Robinson.
