The Lady Rams Varsity basketball team kicked off its season at Dubois on Thursday, November 2, but fell to the Jeeps, 40-44.
The leading scorer for the Rams was senior Carley Higgins, who scored 23 points and shot 8 of 10 at the free throw line. The other game scorers were senior Anna Radcliff with 6 points, junior Jericho Hopper with 6 points, and junior Avery Crews with 5 points. As a team, the Rams went 10 of 12 on free throws for the night.
On Saturday, November 4, the Lady Rams traveled to Southridge and picked up their first win by defeating the Raiders 40-33. Many Rams contributed to this game, including senior Carley Higgins, who scored 18 points; senior Anna Radcliff, who scored 5 points; junior Jericho Hopper, who scored 15 points; junior Avery Crews, who scored 3 points; and junior Lilly Hall, who scored 2 points.
The Rams are now 1-1 on the season and will travel to Brownstown on Saturday, November 11, JV will play two quarters starting at 6 p.m. Varsity will follow.
