After the Varsity Boys’ Basketball game on Friday, the High School Student Council will host a homecoming dance. The dance will be for students in grades 9-12 only and will take place in the cafeteria. This will be the second dance the Student Council has hosted this school year, after the Fall Homecoming Dance. Student Council Sponsors Miya Scott and Alexis Speer will be organizing the event.
Not all students can attend the dance, as junior high students are not allowed due to the significant age and maturity level differences between seniors and seventh graders. Students from other schools may attend, as long as they pay the admission fee and meet the grade requirement. The school rules still apply at the dance.
“I want students to just have fun with classmates, and make memories,” said Speer.
The group hosts these dances so students can have a good time together.
There will be a $5 admission fee at the door, and tickets will not be sold in advance. The money raised by the dance will be used for homecoming items and future Student Council activities.
