The Senior Blog: The wait is over
August 24, 2012
It is the beginning of my senior year and I like most seniors have mixed feelings about it. I am somewhat excited to go to college but in another way I will find it very hard to leave the town where I grew up. I am Shelby Waynick, editor-in-chief of the Paolite. Yes, I have waited since the eighth grade to have this position and it is just as great as I thought it would be.
Since I have to do something for the online, why not a blog about my senior year? My blog will be about mostly my life and what exciting or not so exciting things that are happening with me. Senior year is full of things that I will only get to experience once so I am going to try to make the best of it. I have made it through the first week of school and for the most part it feel just like every other year.
On the first day of school, of course, my mom cried like a little baby and I started to realize that this really is my final year at PHS. My last chance to make my mark at PHS, I wanted to be remembered for something. But doesn’t everyone? Everything in my life is perfect right now. My volleyball team is doing well but my personal chances of being remembered for volleyball are very slim. I would rather be remembered for something in journalism, something I really love and am kind of good at.
