Sports Update for Wednesday, September 16

IN ACTION TONIGHT

The Varsity Cross Country team competed in the Orleans for the Orange County meet. Congratulations to the girls cross country team for winning the county meet.  Rachel Umpleby placed 1st, Ali Kerby 4th, Avery Rogers 5th, Mikaela Robbins 6th, and Abi Andis 11th. And Congratulations to Abi for completing the team. Even though the boys didn’t win, most of them turned in the their fastest times of the season.  Blake Roberts placed 4th, Jared Herd 6th, Jacob Babcock 10th, Blake Terrell 12th, Landon Tharp 15th, Tyler Griffith 16th, Zach Orth 24th, Damon Ingle 26th and Seth Hackney 31st.

The Varsity and Jv Tennis team lost to Crawford County 1-4. The team results are as follows

Singles
1.  Adam Beasley (CC) def Kyle Street (P) 2-6 6-2 7-5
2.  Brent Smith (CC) def Noah Magner (P) 6-2 6-2
3.  Aaron Pearson (CC) def Wyatt Ashley (P) 7-5 6-4
Doubles
1.  Dayton Pinter/Dalton Pinter (CC) def Adam Engleking/Kyle Marshall (P) 6-3 4-6 6-4
2.  Mason Buchanan/Mason Deaton (P) def Gavin Coleman/Noah Sturgeon (CC) 6-4 6-2

The Varsity and Jv Volleyball team defeated Perry Central. The Jv won in 3 sets and the Varsity won in 4 sets.

 

IN ACTION TONIGHT

The Varsity golf team is headed to Springs Valley for the girls golf PLAC. The meet will start at 4:30
