Senior Night for the girls’ basketball team will be held on Tuesday, January 28. For Senior Night, the senior players will each receive a gift from their teammates and have picture and memory tables in the hallway outside of the auditorium.
“This is a special group of seniors, they were freshmen when I was hired for the head coaching job. They have put in a lot of time and hard work. I hope they have enjoyed it as much as I have,” said Head Coach Scott Blankenbaker.
This year’s seniors are EB Kerby, Madison Cunningham, Maddy McDonald, Sierra Manship, Kinley Block and Audrey Blankenbaker. Each of the seniors will be recognized before the start of the varsity game on Tuesday.
“We will miss all the different personalities. We have a really good mixture of girls, and they get along as well as any senior group that I have had. I will miss the day to day interaction that we have at practice. There were way too many fun times and special memories to list any certain one. It will be a sad senior night when these six girls walk out for the last time on their home court. I hope they have enjoyed their four years playing basketball for us coaches, as much as we have enjoyed coaching them,” said Blankenbaker.
Come out and support the seniors and the rest of the team in their last regular season game.
