Paoli Jr. Sr. High School is approaching its 50th anniversary this school year. To help celebrate this important day in PHS history, art teacher Chris Jones will be coordinating a ceremony to honor the first class to graduate on Elm Street. On December 8, between the JV and varsity boys basketball games, the class of 1968 will be recognized by the community. PHS graduates of this class Mona Stroud and Mike Roberts are collecting names of those who can be present.
The school will have t-shirts and free refreshments for them, and the PHS cheerleaders and cheer block will be singing our school’s fight song with them.
“It’s just something nice to commemorate the class and to appreciate our building and how good we are taking care of it. In the past couple of years, some bad press things have happened here, and we just want to emphasize positivity in our school culture, alumni and community,” said Jones.
