This year, the student body grew by three with foreign exchange students, one of whom is Tim Husemeyer. Husemeyer is a German foreign exchange student who lives with Melissa and Chris Higgins. He decided to become a foreign exchange student because many people recommended it.
He is a sophomore currently involved in tennis and plans to run track in the spring. Husemeyer has enjoyed many things while being in America.
“My favorite part of being in America is meeting new people and making new friends,” said Husemeyer.
Husemeyer also comments on the differences between his school in Germany and PHS. In Germany, there is not any school spirit, clubs, or sporting events. He enjoys being able to do these things here and being able to be more involved.
