On November 3, current Football and Softball Coach Neil Dittmer was named Dean of Students, effective January 1, which requires him to resign from his coaching positions. The school is now looking for new coaches to fill those positions.
Both positions are seeking someone who can be responsible for all levels of the program, including the Junior High programs and the Paoli Youth Football League, under the direction of the football coach. The new coaches are expected to develop younger coaches to support their programs. Also, coaches will be visible in the Paoli School community and are expected to support all academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular programs at PHS.
Candidates for both jobs should have a passion for students and their success, have strong organizational skills, be enthusiastic, have a strong work ethic, be motivated, have the ability to lead staff and develop assistant coaches, and lastly, can work with and develop relationships with other coaches at Paoli.
Currently, there are no teaching job openings, but they may become available in the near future. Applications for the softball position will be taken until Friday, December 12. The football position will be open longer, with applications due Friday, January 30. “I hope they continue to build both of the programs,” said Coach Neil Dittmer.
