On Thursday, November 20, eighth grader Camley Whitfield received an award from the Indiana Golf Association, naming her the Junior Tour Girls’ Player of the Year. The Indiana Golf Association selected her as the recipient of this award based on her performance playing in their tour this past summer and fall.
Whitfield was selected from among all 13-to 18-year-old girls who participated in the tour. She placed 1st in all six junior tour events that she competed in, including the Junior Tour Championship in the 13-15-year-old division. In addition to those wins, she also placed first in my division at the Age Group Championship. She finished her
season with a Top 15 finish at the Hoosier Junior Championship.
“I am very honored to have received the ‘Junior Tour Girls Player of the Year’ from the Indiana Golf Association,” said Whitfield.
Next up for Whitfield will be playing on the high school team, with the hope of someday playing in college.
