Tonight, junior Mary Cook will be singing and playing guitar during the Gospel Music event at the 2023 Paoli Fall Festival.  Cook’s performance will be songs she has written.

Cook was given the opportunity to sing last year when a group who knew her signed her up to sing. She enjoyed it and decided to return again this year.

“I’m excited, but still a little nervous. I’ve been working on writing and rewriting my songs,” said Cook. “I will be playing three songs I wrote, ‘I Believe’, ‘Your Love is Real’ and the last one is super new and I don’t have a name for it.”

Sophomore Cannon Lambdin, Cook’s boyfriend, will be drumming on all of her songs as well.

Cook sees music play a role in her future.

“I am uncertain of what route to take after high school, but I do plan on music being a part of whatever it might be,” said Cook.

Cook and the other gospel artists will perform at JayCee Park from 6-9 p.m.

Olivia McSpadden, Chief Photographer, Facebook Editor
Hi, I'm Olivia McSpadden! This past year I was the photo editor for the yearbook and one of the main sports photographers. This year I'm the Chief Photographer and the Facebook Editor. With the Chief Photographer position, I have a heavy hand in the selection of pictures in the Hillcrest Yearbook, Paolite Newspaper, and all of our social media accounts. In addition to this I'm also over the gallerists of Paoli Media, so every time someone takes an event they make a gallery and captions, and then I post it on Facebook for the public to see!
