It is that time of year when the best and most comforting thing for most people to do is to sit in a warm room and watch Christmas movies. One of my personal favorite Christmas movies to watch is The Grinch. This is a somewhat controversial opinion sometimes, but I actually prefer the 2000 version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. While I do really enjoy the newer, 2018, Grinch movie, I think that the older one is just better overall.

This movie is good for all ages; both kids and adults like it. It is also directed and produced really well, and has a good storyline. This movie is also the perfect movie for the Christmas season. It is one of the most popular Christmas movies year after year, and that’s for a good reason.

Its storyline is really easy to understand and follow as well. This movie follows a grumpy, green Grinch who lives on Mount Crumpit and despises the Christmas cheer from everyone in Whoville. Because he despises their joy, he plots to ruin their Christmas by stealing everything that brings them joy during the holiday. By the end of the movie, the Grinch realizes that there is more to Christmas than just presents when Cindy Lou, a young girl from Whoville, helps him see this. This leads to his heart growing, from being two sizes too small at the beginning, to growing three sizes in one day. Another good part of the movie and how it was made is that they show his backstory, how he came to hate Christmas.
It is a good movie for Christmas time for many reasons. It shows how being kind to people can help them through something you may not see, and how the holiday is more than just receiving gifts. It also makes you feel good, seeing how much happier he got at the end.
