Outer Banks first came out on Netflix in 2020, the year COVID hit. It became a popular show for people trapped in their houses with nothing else to do but binge-watch TV. It has been all uphill since then, with 4 seasons and a 5th and final season on the way, Outer Banks has been a huge success. The show has managed to keep the suspense high and the emotions even higher. If you haven’t watched it yet, you are missing out. I would highly recommend this show to anyone; there is a part of the show for everyone.
What really makes the Outer Banks stand out is how intriguing it is. The adventure and constant turn of events make you never want to stop watching. The Pogues, the group at the center of the story, are messy and loyal in a way that makes you want to be a part of their crew even as they get themselves into trouble and a lot of truly over-the-top situations. Some of the plot twists are heartbreaking, while others are completely ridiculous; they always make you feel some type of emotion.
I found myself rooting for the underdogs, talking to my TV, and wishing the show would never end. Outer Banks isn’t just trying to be an award-winning show; it is made for a good time. If you want to get lost in action, friendship, and sun, this is absolutely the show for you.
