On March 10, PHS hosted the annual Mr. PHS competition. Chris Jones, one of the Junior Class sponsors, coordinated the event.
“Mr. PHS is a fundraiser and talent show hosted by the Junior Class officers. The event consists of a cast of seniors selected by their respective coaches and sponsors,” said Jones.
To participate in the competition, students must be in their senior year. The event raised around $1,400 toward this year’s Prom.

This year, the event had eight contestants: Kolt Bonta, who was selected People’s Choice; Tyler Hannon, Cannon Lambdin, JaCoby Piper, Kentlee Scholl, Cooper Spires, Chad Sullivan, and Kade Walls.
The competition had four judges who would ultimately decide the winner for Mr. PHS. Contestants were required to participate in a Q&A, fitness challenge, show off their individual talents, and ended with formal wear.
The judges decided for the 2025-2026 school year that the Mr. PHS winner was Chad Sullivan.
For the contest, Sullivan had to multitask by teaching the judges how to bake a cheesecake and rapping the instructions, all at the same time. To pull it off, Chad brought in a pre-made cheesecake,
and then he taught the judges how to make the same cheesecake while rapping the instructions he gave to the judges.
“I thought it was really fun and overall a good experience for everyone, which I am glad I won. If I could, I would definitely do it all over again,” said Sullivan.
Overall, Sullivan believed that everyone had their own great talents that they presented to the judges.
Sullivan also said that with the other competition being so hard to beat in the talent show, he would’ve been happy with any of the other contestants winning Mr. PHS, since they all worked so hard to prepare.
